Martin Sheen as Lee was easily the most miscast role in what I found to be a very disappointing movie

The good news is that this part of the Shaara/Maxwell/Turner dumbed-down story didn’t make it to the screen (with the exception of an understanding Lee listening to an outraged Trimble). The even better news is that as bad as this one was, it was far better than the turkey which followed it.
