Based solely on this trailer, it seems like Kevin’s just providing a little cover for the black confederate myth. When they showed that doctored photograph of Union black troops without comment, that’s just dishonest. Is that hoax being exposed at some point?
Without seeing the actual documentary I concede I could be all wet.
I have to agree that the trailer points in that direction, regardless of what the final cut looks like. This is part of the challenge of the talking head: you don’t know what’s going to be used, and unless you are more involved in the project, you may find yourself as part of something you may feel uneasy about. So I’d agree that the trailer implies something, but we’ll see.
Wyatt knows that the photograph is doctored so hold off on making any firm judgments. I mentioned it during our interview.

So far so good, I will bite, but I will reserve judgement until I see the entire film. I did a little research on Vimeo to try and make sure it is not a kevin originated class war-warfare white Southern Guilt Trip. I found this: Vimeo is quickly becoming both a popular video share website and a social networking site. It’s a common place for budding videographers to showcase their short films and original videos to other filmmaking enthusiasts. The site is also popular with a few professionals as a place to store and showcase their work.
I know that I am astonished by your influence over the entire teaching profession. And I see you all the time at the local Target or Toys’R’Us. Amazing.
Amen!

Wow…
Levin in a neo-confederate video?
What a last laugh…

Brooks,
I am fascinated by the amount of influence that folks assume I possess. I wonder if Ms. Bass is aware that there is a action figure with my name. 🙂

I thought everyone knew Kevin was the evil genius behind DailyMotion, not Vimeo.
I thought it was Yank Tube, but I see that might be for something else.
Tony Horwitz meets Stephen Colbert?
Coming to a theatre near you, “Colored Confederates”, with a cost of thou…, er, hund, er several !
Looks like it will make a better frisbee than educational DVD.
