    “Every year we have Black History Month I have to go through something like this every February,” said Dorris.

    This like the SCV billboard with the nooses being blamed on MLK day.

    I love the fact that local law enforcement weighed in on that:

    “That claim has been disputed by Metro Police records. They confirm that there has been vandalism at the site in the past, but police checked their records back to 2005 and found nothing in February.”

    Why do people make up these lies? I know the answer, but civility forbids.

      Yeah, brings to mind that old saying about falling from the ugly tree and hitting every branch on the way down. That thing is hideous. Were I a Forrest fanboi, I’d consider that statue a vandalization in its own right.
