News and Notes, March 30, 2012

All the news that I see fit to print (and link to) …

  1. Looks like the Museum of the Confederacy’s Appomattox branch is a welcome economic stimulus to the surrounding community.
  2. One of the featured exhibits will be the sword Robert E. Lee wore to his meeting with Ulysses S. Grant on April 9, 1865.  I wonder if he also wore the sword when the two men met April 10.
  3. Another report on the museum’s displays.  There’s much to see.
  4. At the Washington Times it is unclear whether they want to report the news or offer an editorial.

It should be quite an event.
