One of the most remarkable aspects of the revelation that white supremacist Matthew Heimbach has been welcomed as a Virginia Flagger is the complete silence of Susan Hathaway. For someone who has never been shy about appearing before a camera or giving media interviews, Susan’s been very, very quiet all of a sudden.
But that’s not all. Have you looked at recent images of the Flaggers at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts? Note who’s not there. That’s right, there are no recent images of the much-photographed Susan Hathaway forwarding the colors, changing hearts and minds, or restoring the honor.
Gee, I wonder why that is.
Stay tuned.
I think something has been uncovered that they were not expecting or prepared for.
They asked for it, they wanted the spotlight and with that spot like comes scrutiny, especially when you are playing with symbols that offend the majority of the population in this country.
They chose to shove that flag into our faces by sticking it in the face of those traveling on 95 in a way that no one can ignore it.
Sticking that pole into the ground was like sticking it into a hornet’s nest, they chose to play that so they need to deal with it.
