#2 – All for inclusion and not at all divisive – very welcoming – one country, one flag – the AMERICAN FLAG.

I’m a patriot. #2 for me. Besides, there are probably a lot more Hispanic Americans than Confederate sympathizers living in Richmond. Should there be a latino flag for the city? How about an Aztec or Inca flag, since these empires were far more successful than the CSA and don’t carry the waft of treason? Personally I don’t care if folks want to display flags from their country of origin, as long as they fly them below the stars and stripes. If flaggers think their country of origin is the CSA, a four-year failed experiment that was founded on slavery and rife with dissent and division, I feel sorry for them. To live here and not feel blessed for it is sad.

I’m not into any kind of nationalism, one race= human race, one country= the planet earth.

Tribalism, borders, divisions has not done anyone any good.

I can understand ,guess I’m more along those lines too. As Eugene Debs said “The earth is for all the people” and “I have no country to fight for; my country is the earth, and I am a citizen of the world.”

I like #2, but then again, I’m a patriotic American who doesn’t sympathize with treason against the United States.

Might be limited if they make good on their threat to put more than one up along I95.

The first one indicates racism and ignorance while the second one appeals to American patriotism.

      Here’s a serious question, Brad.

What do you make of the Flaggers’ unwillingness to repudiate Matthew Heimbach when they seem equally unwilling to say that not only do they like him (as several clearly do) but that they share many of his beliefs? I find this curious. It would seem to me that either outright support or straightforward repudiation would stand out as taking a position in contrast to this wavering, which simply looks bad all around.

Carl Roden just said something pretty vile about you on this subject on Connie’s blog……..do you want a link to it? (and Connie seemingly approved of)

Heh. Heh. Carl into Nick cartoons? Woulda never guessed.

But the nature of his comment about you tieing into this RVA thing was a wee bit worse than that. Questionable on the whole aspect of its legality.
