After all, Heimbach has been the recipient of several awards from the SCV and its various camps and divisions. And who was the commander-in-chief of the SCV when Heimbach won his national award? Why, Michael Givens. No wonder they’re friends.

If memory serves, Heimbach was talking about a father beating someone to death who had raped his 5-year-old daughter. A Texas grand jury agreed with Heimbach:

Now about your point, that’s great! So you can just go around making comments filled with violent rhetoric and hate as long as your referencing stories of violence and hate. I get it, nice try. I think someone already said it best here once before, everybody knows exactly what’s going on here. Oh, I agree that was a stupid move on his part. I told him that myself.
That has nothing to do with this rapist in Texas though. If I caught a man raping my 5-year-old daughter, I would probably beat him to death too. That grand jury in Texas that refused to charge him felt the same way.
But there in lies the problem. We can agree that we both probably would have killed a man we found raping our own 5 year old daughter. Look, I’m only human too and faced with that same situation, I’d have done the same. The problem is the comments you are referring to, you are taking completely out of context. Just to refresh your memory, the entire quote was, “It is always great to see White men and women stand up for themselves. I say that if we had a policy of “you hurt one of ours, we kill one of yours” then non Whites would be far less likely to attempt things like this.” That’s the full and entire quote, not taken out of context. He is advocating for killing non Whites if they only hurt Whites. I have to assume that based on what he wrote that if, let’s say he is at a Klan rally and an African American individual accosted him, in his mind, he thinks the person should be strung up to the nearest tree and hanged till he is dead. Even in terms of the Bible, that’s not eye for an eye. Beyond that, in my opinion, this comment has so much less to do with the story and everything to do with sending hidden messages and signals to people that are even more extreme than Heimbach himself. He’s looking for acceptance. Let’s face it. The Traditionalist Youth Network is an epic failure. He knows it. If he doesn’t reach out to people like the National Socialist Movement and the Aryan Terror Brigade, who in the hell is he going to sucker into attending stupid protests like their “Eyes on Wise” protest tomorrow. Matt Parrott said it best. They are growing more extreme because they have to. They have no choice. That’s exactly what this is all about, extremism. The criticism of this story has nothing to do with the actions of the man who found his daughter being raped. Me thinks you know that already. In addition, I never once referenced this story, which I thought was interesting that you were criticizing my point based on something I never even mentioned. I’m glad you did though, because we needed to have this talk.

Going back thru my family tree closer to the roots, my 8th Great Grandfather married a woman named Lettice Winn. Her brother Minor Winn and his bride would become the GGGrandparents of a child we now know today as Thomas Jonathan Jackson. Most know him as “Stonewall”.
As the son of a US Army veteran, who accumulated 27 medals during his service in the Pacific Theatre in WW2, in Korea, and two tours (6 campaigns) in Viet Nam, as well as teaching Logistics to soldiers of TRADOC as Civil Service for a combined 48 & 1/2 years of service to the US Army, I do appreciate what great leaders do, and as my distant cousin, Stonewall is a little closer to my heart than other Confederate leaders. Only my direct Confederate ancestors are closer. The photo meant something near and dear to me.
I only ever saw my father cry one time. I cried like a baby when my parents were interred in Arlington National Cemetery.

My grandfather earned several medals in the South Pacific during WWII, and carried Japanese shrapnel in his leg until the day he died. He was also a virulent Klansman who actively fought against the civil rights movement in Mississippi. Just sayin’ …
