Birds of a Feather … Flag Together

Hey, Billy Bearden!

If you want to distance yourself from Matthew Heimbach, perhaps you had better not do this:

Heimbach Bearden

Susan Hathaway cites Billy Bearden as inspiring her to take up flagging, and now we know what (and who) inspires Billy Bearden.

Now, Billy may try to tell you that he doesn’t believe in what Matthew Heimbach believes, and that this is about the post and not the poster. When he does, show him this:

Bearden Heimbach 2

And when Michael Givens tells you that neither he nor the SCV endorse white supremacy or racism, show him this:

Givens Heimbach 2

After all, Heimbach has been the recipient of several awards from the SCV and its various camps and divisions. And who was the commander-in-chief of the SCV when Heimbach won his national award? Why, Michael Givens. No wonder they’re friends.

Givens Heimbach 3

And we could not leave without connecting the dots all the way around:

Givens and Hathaway

Birds of a feather … flagging together.

Seems to me that the Sons of Confederate Veterans has some housekeeping to do if they are sincere about saying it’s all about heritage, not hate, and that they want to make sure the organization has nothing to do with people such as Matthew Heimbach …

… or perhaps they’ll follow the lead of the Virginia Flaggers, whose members  told us Heimbach was a “good guy” and who admitted their association with him, going so far as to invite him to their picnic on September 29 … an invitation extended by none other than Susan Hathaway.

Look, this is just ridiculous. I mean, just because somebody goes to events apparently organized collectively by the National Socialist Movement, The Aryan Terror Brigade, The Knights of the Nordic Order and The Imperial Klans of America:

    http://blog.adl.org/anti-semitism/matthew-heimbach-embracing-hard-core-white-supremacy

    http://www.tradyouth.org/2013/10/solidarity-or-stigma-on-my-speaking-at-an-upcoming-nsm-event/

… and throws his support behind the Greek Golden Dawn:

    http://www.tradyouth.org/2013/09/the-tyranny-of-democracy-twilight-for-the-golden-dawn/

… That doesn’t make someone a White Supremacist.

… And, when someone says that they dream of our military dropping bombs on abortion clinics:

    http://www.splcenter.org/blog/2013/09/11/matthew-heimbach-suggests-retaliatory-violence-against-non-whites/

… there’s absolutely nothing HATEFUL about that.

… Just like supposedly clicking like on things people post on Facebook and adding them as friends, in the alterna-verse, what that really means is that you don’t like anything they are saying and you’ve never met them before, not even once. Yup, that’s what it means. Yup.

I’m letting you post this, Connie Chastain, to show how fair I am.

      • spelunker October 6, 2013 / 8:32 am

Next you are going to tell us that “seig heiling” doesn’t mean hello. Sheesh.

      • Rob Baker October 8, 2013 / 2:04 pm

        Spelunker is Connie Chastain?

        • Brooks D. Simpson October 8, 2013 / 2:41 pm

No, no, no … again, sarcasm doesn’t translate well in some environments. Nor does a sensahuma. 🙂

If memory serves, Heimbach was talking about a father beating someone to death who had raped his 5-year-old daughter. A Texas grand jury agreed with Heimbach:

      http://abcnews.go.com/US/charges-texas-father-beat-death-daughters-molester/story?id=16612071

A Texas rancher who beat his daughter’s accused molester to death moments after he discovered the man raping the 5-year-old girl, will not be charged with his homicide, officials said, as they released chilling 911 tapes of the father calling for help as the other man died.

A grand jury Tuesday decided not to indict the 24-year-old father who beat ranch hand Jesus Mora Flores to death with his bare hands, after finding the man abusing his daughter behind a barn. …

…And that has what to do with him saying he dreams of seeing the US Armed forces drop bombs on abortion clinics? Your point is?

Now about your point, that’s great! So you can just go around making comments filled with violent rhetoric and hate as long as your referencing stories of violence and hate. I get it, nice try. I think someone already said it best here once before, everybody knows exactly what’s going on here. No one is fooled by thinly veiled efforts of trying to disguise exactly the types of people who talk this nonsense and exactly they message they are trying to convey. We don’t need codewords in the real world.

P.S. Mr. Wallace, while some think it’s cute to have your photo taken below IKA and swastika banners giving the ol’ “Seig Heil”, news flash, the majority of the world thinks it makes you look foolish, ignorant, intolerant and hateful, but don’t worry, Heimbach wears those words as a “badge of honor”. Great company to keep, eh?

        • Flamethrower October 7, 2013 / 2:30 pm

Ehhh, why are you lecturing Hunter on the biggest mistake you’re making yourself?

          • spelunker October 7, 2013 / 4:26 pm

            Which is?

        • Hunter Wallace October 7, 2013 / 10:07 pm

Oh, I agree that was a stupid move on his part. I told him that myself.

That has nothing to do with this rapist in Texas though. If I caught a man raping my 5-year-old daughter, I would probably beat him to death too. That grand jury in Texas that refused to charge him felt the same way.

          • spelunker October 8, 2013 / 2:47 am

But there in lies the problem. We can agree that we both probably would have killed a man we found raping our own 5 year old daughter. Look, I’m only human too and faced with that same situation, I’d have done the same. The problem is the comments you are referring to, you are taking completely out of context. Just to refresh your memory, the entire quote was, “It is always great to see White men and women stand up for themselves. I say that if we had a policy of “you hurt one of ours, we kill one of yours” then non Whites would be far less likely to attempt things like this.” That’s the full and entire quote, not taken out of context. He is advocating for killing non Whites if they only hurt Whites. I have to assume that based on what he wrote that if, let’s say he is at a Klan rally and an African American individual accosted him, in his mind, he thinks the person should be strung up to the nearest tree and hanged till he is dead. Even in terms of the Bible, that’s not eye for an eye. Beyond that, in my opinion, this comment has so much less to do with the story and everything to do with sending hidden messages and signals to people that are even more extreme than Heimbach himself. He’s looking for acceptance. Let’s face it. The Traditionalist Youth Network is an epic failure. He knows it. If he doesn’t reach out to people like the National Socialist Movement and the Aryan Terror Brigade, who in the hell is he going to sucker into attending stupid protests like their “Eyes on Wise” protest tomorrow. Matt Parrott said it best. They are growing more extreme because they have to. They have no choice. That’s exactly what this is all about, extremism. The criticism of this story has nothing to do with the actions of the man who found his daughter being raped. Me thinks you know that already. In addition, I never once referenced this story, which I thought was interesting that you were criticizing my point based on something I never even mentioned. I’m glad you did though, because we needed to have this talk.

Just in case you missed the quote the first time Hunter, here ya go:

            http://spe-lunk-ing.blogspot.com/2013/08/traditionalist-youth-network-co-founder_8098.html?m=1

Oh and by the way, this is not Connie Chastain. Sorry for the confusion. I thought it would be more funny to just go along with the joke.

    • Lyle Smith October 7, 2013 / 5:54 pm

      Enh… he’s a white supremacist, Connie.

      • spelunker October 7, 2013 / 7:44 pm

        Great point!

      • Thelibertylamp October 7, 2013 / 8:36 pm

        Is Spelunker= Connie? I’m confused…

Thank you Brooks for giving me 15 minutes of fame on your little spot in the world wide web 🙂

Going back thru my family tree closer to the roots, my 8th Great Grandfather married a woman named Lettice Winn. Her brother Minor Winn and his bride would become the GGGrandparents of a child we now know today as Thomas Jonathan Jackson. Most know him as “Stonewall”.

As the son of a US Army veteran, who accumulated 27 medals during his service in the Pacific Theatre in WW2, in Korea, and two tours (6 campaigns) in Viet Nam, as well as teaching Logistics to soldiers of TRADOC as Civil Service for a combined 48 & 1/2 years of service to the US Army, I do appreciate what great leaders do, and as my distant cousin, Stonewall is a little closer to my heart than other Confederate leaders. Only my direct Confederate ancestors are closer. The photo meant something near and dear to me.

I only ever saw my father cry one time. I cried like a baby when my parents were interred in Arlington National Cemetery.

Thanks again, and have a Blessed day!

    • Brooks D. Simpson October 6, 2013 / 12:01 pm

This makes your embrace of Matthew Heimbach all the more interesting. Do you think Stonewall Jackson would have approved? Is Matthew Heimbach also a great leader? Seems you think so.

You have a nice day, too.

    • Tony October 6, 2013 / 1:59 pm

My grandfather earned several medals in the South Pacific during WWII, and carried Japanese shrapnel in his leg until the day he died. He was also a virulent Klansman who actively fought against the civil rights movement in Mississippi. Just sayin’ …

    • Corey Meyer October 6, 2013 / 6:15 pm

What in the world does any of that have to do with being called out as a supporter of White Supremacist?

      • Thelibertylamp October 8, 2013 / 7:40 pm

Got me, but I guess it makes a nice story…

  3. Schroeder October 6, 2013 / 9:25 am

Birds of a feather indeed. Everyone knows what’s really going on here. Shameful.

  4. Thelibertylamp October 6, 2013 / 11:23 am

Most this Confederate Heritage Movement is “white power-lite”

    • spelunker October 6, 2013 / 12:08 pm

White Power, hold the cross burning please.

      • Thelibertylamp October 6, 2013 / 4:17 pm

No, thank you, if I was a Christian I would find burning a cross offensive.

As a Jew, it’s just something we have to live with as a reminder of how a certain demographic in America feels about us.

  5. Michael Confoy October 6, 2013 / 10:06 pm

This certainly nothing Christian about the Greek Golden Dawn or National Socialism. Hitler only tolerated the churches if they stayed out of politics.

  6. Andy Hall October 9, 2013 / 7:34 am

Clint Lacy has decided Heimbach’s no friend of the Confederate heritage movement, but not because of his Nazi fetish or his new bromance with Bashir al-Assad in Syria. No, Lacy wants Southrons to ditch Heimbach because he doesn’t believe in black Confederates. Seriously.
