Help the Virginia Flaggers

As I said some time ago, the Virginia Flaggers had no intention of ceasing their efforts to fly Confederate flags along I-95 with their initial effort near Chester, Virginia. As Susan Hathaway has declared:

I-95 Memorial Battle Flag #2 is VERY near completion. The pole and flag (which are twice as tall and big as Flag #1) are paid for, but we are looking for assistance in covering the cost of installation, which will require the rental of a crane. Please consider a donation to help us wrap this one up…

One way you can help is by going to eBay to bid on a copy of the DVD for Gods and Generals autographed by Ron Maxwell. Bidding ends on March 14, so hurry up.

They say that if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. It appears that Hathaway and company learned from the missteps surrounding their initial foray into a business that other organizations have pulled off without much trouble. In fact, they’ve taken my advice to find a taller flagpole and to proceed without the usual self-serving fanfare. Nothing could make me happier.

As for the rest, it will be the same story all over again, and that bores me. I plan to step back and watch others say and do whatever they need to say and do. But for those of you who find such things to be a matter of great excitement, have fun.

Or you can send me a $5 donation made out to the VA Flaggers and I will send you a copy of my booklet, “From A Confederate Heart”

” I plan to step back and watch others say and do whatever they need to say and do.”
It seems like the Flaggers ain’t the only ones that have learned something, after all your petitions , F/B pages and blog post’s connected with the last I-95 flag it looks like you have learned that all of your ballyhoo and saber rattling gained you nothing.

And YES I am having fun !!!!

Well, I think you’ll have to work a bit on your proofreading skills. Maybe you’re just looking to claim that you’ve published multiple editions of your work. Perhaps Connie can help you out. She says she’s a writer, although she’s far more prolific with Photoshop and proposed book jackets.

As I never started a petition or a FB page about the Chester flag, there was nothing for me to learn. As for the blog posts, many people learned a great deal about the Flaggers and the people they embrace like a tar baby. Say hello, Matthew Heimbach. It also brought a few people together in the Richmond era. That’s not saber-rattling: it’s just truth.

Note that this time you’re going about your business just as I suggested you should. Of course, it would be far better to set the flagpoles in context as monuments to Confederate soldiers, as even you’ve done in your front yard, but that appears to be asking too much.

No one here claimed that the Flaggers couldn’t put up a flag … although the Flaggers did all they could to suggest that maybe they couldn’t. We just hope there are no more reports of stolen machinery … or laser-wielding defenders of Confederate heritage. We can’t wait to hear Connie speculate on who’s paying me or Susan to claim that I have students spying on her. They’ve done that before. Y’all are a bit daft sometimes. If you see that as “victory,” so be it, but I think the very people you claim to honor are simply embarrassed. Hey Arnold … Confederate heritage hero.

So if you see this yawn as another “victory,” please take what you can get. Whatever works for you … 🙂

Putting up the flag on I-95 at Chester made the Flaggers and their friends look foolish. You folks are always good for a few laughs. We now await Norwood’s Revenge: Tripp Lewis, SCV Outcast. But if hoisting another flag is the best you can do, well, I’m disappointed. Been there, done that … and it’s not terribly original.

Y’all have become boring. That’s your lasting achievement. Enjoy it.

I say Mr. Tatum donates all of the copies of his book to a local elementary school so the children can practice correcting improper grammar and misspellings. It’s a win-win for the community. First, it takes the books out of circulation and keeps money out of the VA Flagger pot. Second, it gives kids a realistic impression of what a lack of education leads to. “Stay in school kids or you will be a chronic ‘mis-speller’ with a distorted view of American history.” Hope all is well at the mall David.

How fitting – raising money by selling that gobbler. And it’s already over-priced by about $78.00.

It’s going to take more than the sale of an autographed DVD and some donations. Having done several school construction projects, I know those large cranes can cost up to several thousand dollars an hour. Susan may be in luck, however, since Bigge (one of the largest crane rental companies in the country) has an operation in Richmond. And if she’s really lucky, one of the owners is an S.C.V. member and a Confederate heritage aficionado. Maybe they can get if for free.

Brooks Simpson reminds me of the days while out in the woods and mother nature calls, just when you finish dumping a big brown terd, a green/black fly suddenly appears out of no where, his role seems to be only to smell and stir the shit, then fly off and sit on another big brown wet terd.

He is a trouble make, a hatemonger, a Liberal among Liberals who has no good intentions, and is an evil dark bastard who hates the Confederacy and its modern day ancestors. He does not want to be reminded about his New York ancestors that fought for Lincoln and were ruthless heathen barbarians. He is from the dark side, anti christian, anti South, anti Conservative, anti-American.

So, be aware of this man, and stand up to his lies, his slander, his attacks on the flaggers, as the flaggers are doing good, more flagpoles, more flags in more places, and not just in Virginia.

He and his Liberal brethren supported the attacks on the Flaggers who only wanted two flags put in place, now their are dozens at the VMFA EACH WEEK, plus (2) flags that MILLIONS WILL SEE EACH YEAR ON ONE OF AMERICAS BUSIEST INTERSTATES, AND THIS IS JUST THE START.

SO BROOKS, get used to sitting on the terds along with the heathens at VMFA and the MOPC/SLAVERY MUSEUM, their are a lot more coming YALLS way.

You might want to try posting your diatribe back on your Stromfront page where it belongs. You’ve only gone a long way to prove everything that’s been said here about Neo-Confederates, even more correct. You might as well ended it with a typical 14/88 salute. Or what’s the “Southeron” equivalent of that again? Oh yea, “Deo Vidice.”
      What a joke.

“Despite these varied attributions of “neo-Confederacy” from the period immediately after the Civil War to the present, there are a number of consistencies in neo-Confederate thought—its racist, patriarchal, heterosexist, classist, and religious undertones—that form the basis of a conservative ideology that centers upon social inequality and the maintenance of a hierarchical society.”
“Neo-Confederacy, A Critical Introduction” Edited by Euan Hague, Heidi Beirich, and Edward H. Sebesta
      http://www.utexas.edu/utpress/excerpts/exhagneo.html

Flies play a necessary function. And at the very least they motivate us to wipe up the shit left by people like you.

Millions will see? I didn’t know that many had x-ray vision to see through the trees. I just love how people are willing to spend money to advertise their ignorance and racism (not to mention where a trailer court is located) by flying the international symbol that indicates those traits.
Personally, I am looking forward to the next thing that comes after that well capped start. Oh, another flag. Some more posts in all caps full of stupidity. Meanwhile, the rest of us will be preparing to teach millions of students what actually happened because we took the time and put forth the effort to actually learn history.

    • Al Mackey March 28, 2014 / 10:22 am

The best evidence we have that Brooks doesn’t like heritage instead of history loons is that he allows Dumbford’s silly diatribe to be read in its entirety. 🙂

      • Thelibertylamp March 28, 2014 / 11:56 am

That is because “Heritage” is a cloth made in China.

      • Brooks D. Simpson March 28, 2014 / 12:09 pm

Jerry’s a proud addition to the ranks of the Virginia Flaggers.

    • Thelibertylamp March 28, 2014 / 11:55 am

Bigots will win their “victory” over the “Heathens” with metal poles and pieces of cloth that are made in China….

    • Christopher Shelley April 14, 2014 / 9:55 pm

How can you trust a man who misspells “turds”?

  5. Jerry Dunford April 14, 2014 / 3:11 pm

When I need a smile I go and read the goofy shit Brooks and his boys write. I imagine they first write something, then text it over to Brooky to proof, then he makes a comment and sends it back to Big Head, or Andy, or to the Dick, and after it get’s his jolly approval, bam, out it comes. I would have thought that grown men would act like grown men, but you shit-kickers just agitate, stir,
and bitch and moan about someone having the balls to do something except to bitch and moan.
Hell man, the flag your buddy Kevin Levin predicted incorrectly that would not be installed is flying, and yes Dickmaster, you can see it without xray vision. And the new one, will be seen also, and then another new one, so all of you agitators, KMA and bitch and moan, as the flags fly for millions to see.

    • Brooks D. Simpson April 14, 2014 / 4:45 pm

Written like a true Virginia Flagger, Jerry. I’m sure this is just the sort of language Connie Chastain sanctions. Just more heritage of hate from a man who seems insecure about his sexuality … another one of Connie’s sweet southern boys. Now, back to the outhouse with you.

BTW, I thought Kevin’s prediction would not come true, but what of it? So what?

      • Jerry Dunford April 14, 2014 / 4:58 pm

Written as it was needed to be. My sexuality is a-ok, all systems are working, I am man, I like woman, no same sex sex for me. By the way, Goad the Freak, what does he mean by saying a man in Arizona sent him some money, anyone you know, whatever amount it was, was not enough as he is as ineffective as the ants on the sidewalk. As to Connie what’s her name, I never had a moment with her, nor communicated with her, how is she, a Southern woman of Grace and wit, or perhaps a Southern woman with grit, again, never spoke with her in any manner.
So please Gentleman up, and stop the negative harassing of people, your position should require that of you, need I say that. You should be above these frays, but not above the flag.

          • Al Mackey April 14, 2014 / 6:52 pm

Dumbford doesn’t know what he’s ranting about either. The guy’s a mentally ill racist with an IQ less than his shoe size. Being kind to confederate heritage is not giving his stupidity any air time.

          • Jerry Dunford April 14, 2014 / 8:08 pm

            [profanity deleted]

Take your profanity to Chastain’s blog … or your own.

You are quite a credit to the Virginia Flaggers.

          • Al Mackey April 15, 2014 / 7:09 am

Perhaps Mr. Dumbford should follow Susan Hathaway on this:

“It has been my experience that those who have neither historical fact nor truth on their side, inevitably resort to profanity and childish name calling when confronted with facts that shatter their myths and threaten to expose their true agenda.”

        • Goad Gatsby April 15, 2014 / 9:17 am

That is a lie. I have a job and can afford my own materials for counter protesting. I have never received any financial support except two dollars to help pay for sodas. I have never communicated with Brooks Simpson except on this boards. If you want to tell people to stop harassing people, please start with yourself by not spreading lies on the internet.

          • Brooks D. Simpson April 15, 2014 / 11:33 am

It’s not the first time he’s posted a lie about me. I’m still waiting for him to reveal the name of the commenter on his blog that he claimed was me.

Those wanting to follow Jerry can do so by going to his blog.

          • Jimmy Dick April 15, 2014 / 12:09 pm

Pretty much everything Jerry says is a lie. He lives in the echo chamber of hate with the rest of the racists. He and they are pissed off because the rest of the world wants nothing to do with the racist trash of the world.

    • Andy Hall April 15, 2014 / 6:52 am

Now Jerry, I’ve been more than civil to you on my blog and elsewhere. I expect the same in return.
