Even I was a bit taken aback to read this declaration on a sidebar at Connie Chastain’s blog Backsass (a.k.a. the longest love letter ever written):
Oh, my.
At first, this made absolutely no sense, except to exhibit just how sick and strange Connie Chastain is. After all, who else would think these sorts of things, and who else would display such bizarre logic?
Then I remembered who was really interested in this story line all along:
That’s right … Connie Chastain (who recently decided to remove these posts from Backsass to place on her other blog, 180 Degrees True South).
Here’s what she said when she announced the book concept:
That’s right … she thinks writing about attempts to commit violent acts on Confederate heritage advocates would be “fuh-huh-hunnnn to write.”

In short, the only person who contemplates seeing physical harm done to Confederate heritage advocates is someone who hopes to make money off writing about that idea.
Wonder what she’ll do to realize that goal?

Connie is twisted, which proves the kind of crazy who is attracted to this neo-confed movement.
She is now picking on a young VCU grad student, I think mostly because educated young women are threatening to Connie.
I advised the young woman to just ignore her, as Connie’s posts are begs for attention and hopes that people will come by and post in her comment section.
I also explained that Connie is in her mid 60’s and lonely, outside her trashy book covers and fantasies of young “sweet Southern boys”, all she really has is her hate and derangement.
You say, “all she really has is her hate and derangement.” But you must admit she makes what she can of that.
Yep, Brooks, she does hate and derangement better than most people I know. And doing what I do I see A LOT of hate and derangement.
We have had our eyes on Glenn Miller for years, he did hate and derangement pretty well, as did the Nazi Bill White.
Connie does a good job of it as well…
Wow. This is classic right-out-of-the-Psych 101 textbook “projection.” But since her idea mirrors all those hate crimes perpetrated by anti-racists…oh wait, there are none.
I think about the quote from Wanda Sykes, “What you’re afraid of is Karma.” She still doesn’t believe that someone damaged my amp even though her buddies were there to see it but comes up with the fantasy idea that Neo-Confederates are the one under attack.
Let’s put it this way: why would her fellow Flaggers support an action she claims did not take place? How does she know? Is she calling them liars, too?
“Quickies”? I suppose that’s Chastpain’s version of women who “cry rape too often” for her liking. It’s no surprise that Chastpain would use violence as a bandaid in her warped virtual world of ghosts still fighting the Civil War – she’s really showing what a twisted old fart she really is – and to pick on a student at VCU too??? Really Constance… cannot you create a more peaceful life for yourself? I know that your bouffant is ruffled by truth – use some more hairspray to hold your helmut in place and carry on – you’re providing some great laughs.
Connie is doing the best she can with what she has.
This southern heritage includes a whole lot of rape and abuse. I am an Åfrican American. Although raised in NY, my roots are south, Marlboro county SC. After doing a Dna test, I find that I am 3rd and 4th cousins to the county and many many of my ancestors fought for the Çonfederacy. I don’t think this is a proud heritage. Why don’t we talk about that?
