More Hatred From a Supporter of the Virginia Flaggers

Jerry Dunford loves the Virginia Flaggers, and apparently they love him too. Why, David Grove loves to put up links to Jerry’s posts, when fine minds such as Carl Roden find their contents quite commendable. So what does this vocal supporter of “Return the Flags! Restore the Honor!” say about critics of the Flaggers?

I doubt than any of them have a wife or girlfriend, and as to their sexual persuasion, while I don’t know, but if I were to guess they are likely homosexuals as their mannerisms seem to indicate this. Again, I do not know for sure, but maby they will be honest for 2 minutes and tell everyone, it will be interesting for many to know. If they are not gay, they just missed going down the the chute the gays slid down. Now, why this is important is, gays seem to thrive on this type of social recreation, they slam Confederate history, Southern heritage groups, and the core reason they do this is these groups and people are predominantly christian people, who believe the bible and Gods warning about the sin of men with men, as being dirty and unholy, so they rebel against Southerners as just one group that they dislike. Again, let us know boys, because you should start flying your proud rainbow flag if this is true, and they are available for all of you to get one.

Just more evidence of the state of mind of another supporter of the Virginia Flaggers. It’s hate, not heritage, and in this case it’s homophobia.

UPDATE: Carl W. Roden declares:

I for one do not recall actually thumbing up, or expressing anything that regards Jerry’s post as….uh, “quite commendable”….

You can even go through my very much open public facebook page and search to your hearts content. Prove one and for all that y’all can back up your words….or once again make fools of yourselves in another failed attempt at a personal dig at yours truly, the man y’all fear most.

Jerry and Carl

Here’s the post Carl applauded.

That was easy.

Read what I said, Carl; “Why, David Grove loves to put up links to Jerry’s posts, when fine minds such as Carl Roden find their contents quite commendable.” And so you do. Repeatedly. And again.

Just how stupid are you, Carl?

Show us one time when you condemned Jerry’s homophobic rants.

So much for anyone being afraid of you (well, except for those people who might well be scared of someone who sexualizes Nickelodeon characters … I guess Jerry approves of your endeavors).

Once more a Flagger shoots himself in the foot. Indeed, Carl’s done that a few times already this week. Want to see what he says about how to treat the original 13-star flag?

Carl and 13 star flag

Yup … so much for the master of the flag code.

Poor Carl. Although he won’t admit it openly (typical Flagger lack of integrity), he hasn’t denied that he likes Jerry Dunford’s expressions of bigotry. Instead, he tries to duck the whole question as follows:

Carl … clicking “like” means just what it says. “Seen by” records who’ve seen the post (including you in this instance). “We” haven’t established anything, and you aren’t little … just ask that flag you sat on.

At least we have a better idea of just how stupid Carl Roden is. Incredibly stupid.

Are these the same folks whose proud Confederate ancestors twisted the Bible to support such concepts as a black man has no rights that a white man needs to respect?

  2. Pat Young July 5, 2014 / 10:59 am

Jerry must have seen me at the Brooklyn LGBT Pride celebration.

His sort of nonsense tells you that haters gotta hate. When you peruse the Southern Heritage pages you see a bit on the Confederacy, but just as much space devoted to anti-black, anti-LGBT, anti-immigrant, and anti-Muslim propaganda.

This sort of broad bigotry is on the wane. As education and communications improve, such ignorance is laughed at by the young.

      Let’s hope

I wonder what Jerry thinks about Baron Von Steuben? Or the many homosexuals who have served in our nation’s armed forces over the last 238 years? He probably puts them in the same place he reserves for all the black men and women who served in the armed forces. Jerry is a true product of the Old South, a prime example of a shrinking minority of negative minded people who are being ignored by mainstream America as we move past the fiction of the Lost Cause and away from racism and bigotry as we create a better country where we can really say “all men…and women…were created equal” and mean it.

    • Christopher Shelley July 5, 2014 / 10:22 pm

This “all men are created equal” thing has always been a stick in their craw, hasn’t it?

“Well, we meant all white men of property are created equal.” Fail. “Ok, all white men are created equal, but not black men.” Fail again. “Ok, all *men* are created equal, but not women.” Fail again. “Ok, all straight men and straight women are created equal, but not homosexuals.” Fail yet again. The open-ended promise of the Revolution doesn’t stop because some bigot says “ok, I will sort of accept them as equal, but nobody else.” If America stands for anything, it stands for that. I believe it was Gordon Wood who said equality was the greatest idea of the Revolution, and when unloosed it drives conservatives to apoplexy.

My name is not Anthony, my name is actually is Goad. Goad Gatsby is my performer name and I recommend that if someone wants to see me perform, come out to Strange Matter this upcoming Friday. I would also like to take this time to come out as a heterosexual male. I also want to take the time to say that I counter-protest the VA Flaggers not because they wave Confederate Flags but because they are bigots who happen to wave Confederate Flags. I love Southern heritage, deep fried foods, Outkast, hats, rocking chairs, and smiling and saying hi to people I’ve never meet.

    • Christopher Shelley July 5, 2014 / 10:10 pm

And the Outlaws–the “Florida guitar army.” They were a great band.

      • Goad Gatsby July 6, 2014 / 12:34 pm

Sorry, I am not a fan southern rock. It has nothing to do with culture or politics. I just don’t like it. Southern metal bands on the other hand, like Lamb of God and Loincloth are great.

Hatred and distortion are all they have. But this nation thrives on hate so they have some effect.

  6. Happy July 5, 2014, I just read the Brooks Simpson Crossroads propaganda blog where he and his puppets, Andy Hall, Pat Young, Jimmy The Dick and others attempt to attack me for attacking the sexual perverts of our society, many of which I suspect are part and parcel of himself and his puppet followers. As I said I suspect this, as only they know for sure, and they will not man up and state it one way or the other. I only mention the homosexual aspect because, as history over the past 50 years has shown us that this Godless lifestyle is a common denominator inside the Liberal Marxist faction. It seems to go hand in hand, Liberal, Marxist, Homosexual and Southern history hater. Coincidence, hardly, so yes Brooks, Andy Hall, Baker, Young, Mackey, Dick,Levin, Meyer, if you walk like a Duck, Quack like a Duck, and support things Ducks support, U might be a Duck.

    • Brooks D. Simpson July 5, 2014 / 11:16 pm

Thanks for sharing, Jerry. Why are you so interested in the issue of sexual preference? It seems to absorb a great deal of your attention.

Some people suspect your concern betrays your own insecurity about your sexual identity. Have you considered seeking professional help to assist you in dealing with your issues?

Thanks again for sharing with us the mindset of a supporter of the Virginia Flaggers, a man the Flaggers count as one of their own.

    • Pat Young July 6, 2014 / 7:26 am

Jerry, I shared your response with a young woman I know and got this response: Does he really think that there are large numbers of middle aged adult men in the North who are gay but in the closet? Another woman who saw your response wrote “Someone is VERY uncomfortable with his sexuality! So obsessive, so dangerously repressed!”

      • Brooks D. Simpson July 6, 2014 / 8:24 am

This is also true of the people who like Jerry’s postings, including David Grove and Carl Roden. They circulate his trash and have never chided him about his rants. That’s what FB’s Dixie Talk & News is all about: intolerance and bigotry. It’s a fitting recast of the FB Backsass!

    • Goad Gatsby July 6, 2014 / 2:35 pm

      “…attack me for attacking…”
When will the intolerance end? What is this country coming to if a straight white southern man can’t post on the internet without other straight white southern men criticizing him?

  7. Al Mackey July 5, 2014 / 5:12 pm

Poor Dumbford. I think we should take pity on someone as mentally ill as he is. Hopefully he will get the professional help he so desperately needs.

    • Jimmy Dick July 6, 2014 / 5:38 am

I think you are correct on this, Al. When someone is so far removed from reality and displays a fixation on sexual issues that is a sure sign of psychological problems. Jerry has mental health issues, but then so do a lot of the Causers.

    • jfepperson July 6, 2014 / 6:37 am

No true professional would take the case, Al 😉

  8. eshonk July 6, 2014 / 3:00 am

Note: I’ve simply removed Mr. Shonk’s name-calling ranting comments (which at times slip into profanity). Mr. Shonk praises the superiority of the South from his residence in the greater Columbus, Ohio area, leaving one to ask why he finds himself living in a Yankee state. Still, this morsel is too tempting to resist:

I have determined that the majority of those posters who support your “rantings,” are either current students or former students of your course offerings, who have no understanding of the issues presented, other than your interpretation of same.

We await proof of that statement as well as an explanation of his methodology. Note that other Confederate heritage advocates have complained that my students do not post here at all. You would think they would coordinate their attacks a little better.

Failure of Mr. Shonk to document his claim in a satisfactory manner allows me to continue to handle his comments as I deem fit. Such failure would also suggest that he lacks both integrity and intelligence. That makes him an ideal candidate for Flagger of the Month.

  9. jfepperson July 6, 2014 / 6:38 am

Well, there is that other definition of “flagging” to consider …

  10. OhioGuy July 6, 2014 / 1:27 pm

For the record: I’m straight, a Republican, a Christian, and think Obama is the worst president in my lifetime, but I have absolutely no time for these neo-Confedrates and their revisionist history nor their hate-filled rhetoric. I believe I’m living proof that this smear campaign is a fiction of a sick mind.

    • Brooks D. Simpson July 6, 2014 / 1:31 pm

This raises the question of why these supposed Confederate heritage advocates need to believe that their “foes” are as they imagine them to be. It appears they hate certain groups of people anyway.

  11. Andy Hall July 7, 2014 / 8:18 am

That’s an irregular 13-star flag, as well. The union (the blue part) of the flag should only be seven stripes deep, not eight.

  12. Ed Johns July 8, 2014 / 2:50 pm

I might be a fag, and I certainly despise the Flaggers. I’m definitely a “southern history hater”. On the other hand, I can spell. I’m sure Mr. Dunford would agree that’s something.
