Drunk History Salutes Kevin Levin’s New Jersey … and Thaddeus Lowe

We all know Kevin Levin likes to say he’s from Massachusetts nowadays, just as at one time he was a resident of Charlottesville, Virginia. But the truth is that he’s from New Jersey, and in this episode of Drunk History, a salute to the Garden State, you can hear the story of Thaddeus Lowe, a man with a balloon.

At the risk of aging myself the video reminded me of an old episode of “Barney Miller”, where a member of the NYPD’s bomb squad mistook an atomic bomb for a ham radio, when he describes what a ham radio is used for he says “you know you can talk to people in foreign countries like England, France and Jersey. Funny show.

Very funny. Finally … FINALLY … a believable and realistic interpretation of the Great Emancipator. Loved the glasses and the voice. The “first American Air Force.” I’m going to have to incorporate that in my “Today” posts. Need to check out more of these “Drunk History” segments. Pretty sure they’re available on YouTube.
