I don’t think that “Black Jack” would be caught dead drinking a ‘fluff-fluff’ drink like the one pictured in the ad. My guess is that Logan was a hard liquor man.

Our Black Jack Logan didn’t fight at Shiloh. The Col. John Logan you see in the order of battle is his cousin. Black Jack was still recuperating from his wounds from Ft. Donelson.
