Several Civil War bloggers are passionate sports fans. They know who they are. Back in 2009 several of those bloggers were calling for their Philadelphia Phillies to beat the New York Yankees in the World Series.
The Yankees won.
At least one blogger was so unhappy with that result that he moved to Boston, where this year, after watching the Red Sox collapse, he (and some others) sought solace by rooting for the New England Patriots to defeat the New York Giants.
The Giants won.
New York, New York.
It’s a state of mind.
An empire state of mind.
And it is the home of the Super Bowl XLVI champion New York Giants.
